Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Controller provides direction and management for all financial aspects of company strategy and is expected to analyze figures and implement recommendations based on these findings, with the most profitable outcomes. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing budget management, financial analysis, payroll, forecasting, construction accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable and financial reporting. Responsibilities include: - Lead, develop and coach a tight-knit construction accounting, equipment accounting, and payroll team to maximize individual and team performance - Provide support, training, and guidance to accounting team on compliance and procedures for staffing and payroll companies - Review and approve payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, work in progress and all statutory and regulatory filings - Generate job costing analysis, financial analysis and financial statement documentation to ensure transparency for various key stakeholders - Review GST, PST, Payroll and other required tax compliance filings and remittances - Identify and create informative metrics, reports and analytics that drive business decisions and outcomes - Ensure all accounting and financial data and records are up to date and backed up/organized - Other duties as required

The Project Coordinator, Virtual Construction will play a key role in the expansion of our brand new Virtual Construction team at Axiom. Reporting directly to the Director of Virtual Construction, you will be assisting the project team to better service our clients by utilizing BIM technology to help plan, design, build projects that exceed Axiom's standard for excellence. Responsibilities include: - Own the BIM process and implementation for all Axiom projects and ensure building design is optimized throughout the project’s lifecycle - Identify conflicts in design documents using 3D analysis software - Develop 3D Site Logistics and 4D Simulations to validate construction schedules and site approach; develop 3D animations and videos - Perform quantity take-offs taken from BIM models and attach project schedules to 3D models - Present and communicates modelling needs and conflicts to senior leadership, key stakeholders and team and assists in the resolution of conflicts - Assist the Director in developing and leading company training on virtual construction technology

Reporting to the Director of Virtual Construction, the M&E Manager will be working with designers to see what M&E systems are available, checking drawings or documents, and obtaining quotes from subtrades for each project. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Collaborate with Project Managers in communicating updates and progress to clients, including updating and planning schedule requirements, review M&E drawings and specifications, follow-up with consultants and sub-trades, and take all M&E project components to completion - Participate in the selection of subtrade partners and suppliers to provide guidance on minimizing risk and maximizing the quality of results on contracts - Act as the go-to person for mechanical and electrical expertise for the organization and facilitiate all M&E related meetings, concerns and discussions - Coordinate M&E activities to comply with specifications, requirements and codes

As the liaison between suppliers and the estimating and project management teams, the Procurement Manager will be responsible to ensure technical requirements, schedules, and cost efficiencies are fully achieved. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: - Create and execute on procurement plans to minimize costs and maximize supply of quality materials for all construction projects; - Manage the competitive bid process - develop the criteria for suppliers, award contracts, and evaluate delivery and performance of our supplier partners; - Continuously meet, source and assess new suppliers to build a strong supplier/vendor list that will efficiently and successful meet Axiom’s needs; - Work closely with suppliers on purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery to sites and service completion; - Review and oversee vendor and supplier performance and deliverables prior to approval for payments.

As part of a growth-oriented estimating department at Axiom Builders, the Senior Estimator will be responsible for leading and managing the costing process on commercial and residential construction projects while effectively communicating project estimate details to clients/owners, architects and other project stakeholders.  In addition to day to day estimating tasks, the successful candidate will be trusted to take on leadership, training and management responsibilities for a small team of developing estimators. The Senior Estimator will: - Apply knowledge of construction methods to determine the most cost-effective approach; - Lead and assembling estimating input, while reviewing designs to identify opportunities for cost savings; - Review bid packages from sub-contractors and suppliers, communicating with subtrades to assist in budgeting to ensure they understand their scope of work; - Assess labour requirements and determine labour availability; - Provide conceptual estimates from preliminary drawings through final cost analysis - Represent Axiom and participate in design meetings with our development partners, owners and consultants

As an emerging leader on the safety management team across all operating companies, the WCB Claims Manager will be work closely with the Regional Safety Managers to influence a culture and philosophy around an established safety process. The WCB Claims Manager will be responsible for implementing safety process and procedure, managing resources and people, as well as overseeing the claims management process. Reporting directly into the Director of Safety, the WCB Claims Manager will: - Maintain and implement preventative safety programs to prevent incidents from escalating into WCB claims - Manage claims management process and policy by working closely with Director of Safety and managers - Produce bi-weekly documents and reports on the status of WCB claims, incidents and injuries - Represent all operating companies on all communication with the Workers' Compensation Board of BC - Train and enforce protocol surrounding incident reporting and claims submissions - Advise and offer best practices managers in preparation for employees returning to work following injury - Other job duties as required
