Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Procurement Coordinator will be coordinating the purchase and planning for materials to be delivered to all of our construction sites. As part of a growing team with an entrepreneurial spirit, the Procurement Coordinator will work closely with the Supply Chain Manager to ensure business needs are met by evaluating requirements, placing orders, planning and scheduling materials delivery, and working with our preferred vendors and suppliers. As the internal point of contact for construction materials and supplies, the Procurement Coordinator will: - Purchase supplies and maintain healthy inventory levels for all construction projects and Axiom’s subsidiaries; - Create, track and expedite orders to ensure schedules and project needs are met; - Manage positive and effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners; - Work closely with the Supply Chain Manager to negotiate favourable prices by staying up-to-date on promotions and changes in price with suppliers; - Assist in the evaluation of vendor and supplier performance for service and cost; - Resolve disputes or issues that arise from invoices; - Support requisitioners or requesters with using purchasing portal or ERP.

Working closely with Site Superintendents and the Regional Safety Managers, the Construction Safety Officer (CSO) will enforce our company safety policies, work procedures, and Work Safe BC occupational health and safety regulations. Responsibilities include: - Conduct effective site inspections to ensure nobody is exposed to unsafe conditions or activities; - Enforce safety protocol among the team, including contractors and sub-trade partners; - Lead site safety meetings and record minutes; - Facilitate safety orientations for all new hires and guests visiting the site; - Submit required daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports; - Maintain and build a culture of health and safety on site.

As an emerging role on the safety management team across all operating companies, the Claims Manager will be work closely with the Director of Safety to reduce claims. The Claims Manager will be responsible for tracking safety data and managing the claims process with the overall goal of lowering our claims. The Claims Manager will: - Manage claims management process and policy by working closely with Director of Safety and managers; - Train and enforce protocol surrounding incident reporting and claims submissions; - Track safety data and through the assessment of numbers, mine for insights that produce opportunities for improvement; - Proactively maintain and update company safety manuals; - Produce reports on the status of WCB claims, incidents and injuries - Represent all operating companies on all communication with the Workers' Compensation Board of BC; - Advise managers in preparation for employees returning to work following injury; - Keep our safety records in a tight and organized manner - Other safety responsibilities as required.

Axiom Builders is seeking an intermediate level Estimator to support and streamline the costing process on Axiom's growing pipeline of projects, from masterplan wood-frame communities to high-rise luxury towers and almost everything in between. Our estimating team plays a key role in preconstruction by analyzing and aiigning trade budgets with project requirements, and effectively communicating project estimate details to clients/owners, architects and other project stakeholders.  - Use knowledge of construction methods to determine the most cost-effective approach; - Review designs to identify opportunities for cost savings; - Coordinate and assemble estimating input and quantities; - Prepare preliminary construction schedules, including major activities and phasing; - Conceptual estimating from preliminary drawings through final cost analysis; - Communicate with subtrades to assist in budgeting to ensure they understand their scope of work; - Review bid packages from sub-contractors and suppliers; - Assist in monitoring escalation trends; - Attend design meetings with Owner and Consultants as necessary.

Axiom Builders is looking for a Project Coordinator to support our project team in coordinating the building process for a project in Vancouver. This project is the centre of an elegant community with both retail and residential space, a rooftop terrace, and a plaza, giving the Project Coordinator the opportunity to add an urbanized mixed-use project to their portfolio.   Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Coordinator will work on-site and be involved in all aspects of construction documentation control including, but not limited to, on-line document & drawing management, project scheduling, contract administration, package tendering, RFI’s, S.I.’s, suite changes, procurement process and material controls.    Key Responsibilities: - Work closely with teams of subcontractors, engineers and outside consultants and participate actively in meetings as required; - Reporting of project progress and productivity to senior management and clients; - Review designs and use knowledge of construction methods to determine the most cost-effective approach; - Communicate with subtrades to assist in budgeting to ensure they understand their scope of work; - Read and organize all general and technical specifications, drawings, contracts and construction documents; - Other duties as required.

Reporting to the Director of Virtual Construction, the Mechanical Manager will play a key role in ensuring quality and cost effective delivery of mechanical systems. The successful candidate will work closely with designers to see what mechanical systems are available, checking drawings or documents, obtaining quotes from subtrades for each project and ensuring activites comply with specifications, requirements and codes.  You will be trusted to: - Collaborate with Project Managers in communicating updates and progress to clients, including updating and planning schedule requirements, review drawings and specifications, follow-up with consultants and sub-trades, and take all mechanical project components to completion - Work closely with our virtual construction and design team on specifictaions of new construction - Participate in the selection of subtrade partners and suppliers to ensure scope of work is accurate and to provide guidance on minimizing risk and maximizing the quality of results on contracts as an experieneced partner for the Estimating team - Manage and stay involved in the claims management process as it relates to mechanical installations and quality control; in turn, train field staff to inspect for related and future mechanical issues in the building process - Act as the go-to person for mechanical expertise for the organization and facilitate all meetings, concerns and discussions - Coordinate M&E activities to comply with specifications, requirements and codes; - Other duties as assigned.
