As a member of the Traffic Control Team, we are looking for a dedicated and observant Flagger that will be responsible for the flow of the traffic around the construction sites. This role will also be responsible for the execution of the Traffic Management Plans within and surrounding construction zones. As a Hoist Operator, you will be operating a hoist to raise, lower, and move materials, supplies, equipment and staff around the construction site. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, the Director, Construction will manage all aspects of the assigned project portfolio from beginning to end.  In addition to successfully leading and motivating multiple project teams, this role will play a significant role in maintaining and strengthening strong client relationships. The successful candidate will not only promote project community vision and design, but also elevate Axiom’s industry presence and market awareness.      Key Responsibilities include: - Partner closely with developers, project managers, consultant engineers, utility providers and local authorities to ensure the quality of the project, the completion on time and within budget; - Oversee the requisition process of all division work from inception to contract; - Provide timely feedback to project team on design elements and details to allow for prompt and decisive decision making during the design phase; - Collaborate with estimating to provide preliminary budget information from conceptual stage and see it through the process to a fixed budget; - Evaluate the progress of construction through regular review and site visits with Senior PMs and project teams; - Monitor production schedules, critical paths for projects, and cost control to ensure that projects are completed on time, meet expected quality and within budget; - Respond to any issues that arise and provide guidance to ensure these are resolved and quality standards are consistently maintained; - Build strong relationships with customers and key vendors earning their respect, while at the same time treating them as customers/partners and protecting the Company’s interests; - Attend and actively participate in daily, weekly and monthly meetings with staff and senior management to facilitate the flow of information between all parties to ensure client satisfaction and the timely completion of construction projects; - Facilitate regular flow of communication from site to Head Office to share knowledge, best practices, and ensure a common approach.

The Payroll and Benefits Manager will assist in the timeliness, accuracy, and compliance of payroll and benefits activities for multiple Axiom Builders’ construction entities. In this leadership role, you will ensure the implementation of payroll best practices and will lead your team to provide excellent service through a culture of continuous improvement taking the payroll and benefits functionality to the next level. The successful candidate will work closely with our Construction Administration team on onboarding new employees and managing payroll for 500+ hourly and salaried employees. Responsibilities include: - Promote and encourage a customer-service and employee-friendly culture within the Payroll department and within the company; - Develop and maintain positive relationships with all levels of the staff (site and office) to provide information and answer any questions; - Lead the payroll team in the accurate and timely processing of multiple bi-weekly payrolls; - Communicate and coordinate with stakeholders regarding recommendations and implementation of new initiatives, systems, and process changes; - Oversee billings, regulatory filings, and compliance with legal/statutory requirements: life insurance, extended health, CRA, RRSP, WCB, EHT, etc; - Manage processes relating to employee changes, electronic employee profiles and documents received via our online ticketing system (rate changes, promotions, offers, etc) to ensure the accuracy of information within our systems and timely processing;  - Mentor, develop, and train employees to provide a solid understanding of procedures, policies, and functions relating to payroll and benefits.

Axiom Builders is looking to bring an Estimator on board to support and streamline the costing process on Axiom's growing pipeline of projects, from masterplan wood-frame communities to high-rise luxury towers and almost everything in between. Our estimating team plays a key role in preconstruction by analyzing and aligning trade budgets with project requirements, and effectively communicating project estimate details to clients/owners, architects and other project stakeholders.    Responsibilities include:  - Use knowledge of construction methods to determine the most cost-effective approach; - Review designs to identify opportunities for cost savings; - Coordinate and assemble estimating input and quantities; - Prepare preliminary construction schedules, including major activities and phasing; - Conceptual estimating from preliminary drawings through final cost analysis; - Communicate with subtrades to assist in budgeting to ensure they understand their scope of work; - Review bid packages from sub-contractors and suppliers; - Assist in monitoring escalation trends; - Attend design meetings with Owner and Consultants as necessary.

Reporting to the Vice President, the successful candidate will be focused on four major areas:   Owner/Developer Liaison - Review business plan, budget and schedule with owners and developers during regular touchpoints and meetings; - Provide construction input and expertise to Owner/Developer's innovation ideas. Consultant Interaction - Attend all consultant design development meetings at every stage of project evolution; - Maintain design details and specification; - Coordinate all documentation between department and consultants. Pricing Interaction - Liaise with Axiom’s estimating and project management teams as well as architects and designers; - Create both scope tracking and value engineering sheet with design and cost adjustments. This large-scale site features multiple residential towers with over 1000 homes, both indoor and outdoor amenities for the residents, and a major commercial and retail space on the ground. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be part of this unique project from preconstruction to completion.   The Project Manager will provide overall direction for assigned projects and assumes responsibility for the overall project performance including costs, schedule, quality assurance and project status. This position involves subcontract negotiations, liaison with owners, consultants, and sub-trades, and management of the technical and financial aspects of the contract. Reporting to the Senior Design Manager, the Mechanical Design Manager will play a key role in ensuring quality and cost effective delivery of mechanical systems.
