This role will assist in the preparation, plan, and development of detailed work schedules of 8-10 projects throughout various stages of the construction process. The role will support the team in working with clients and subcontractors to gather information, pricing, compliance, and contract documents.   Reporting directly to the Project Manager, the Site Administrator will work with the rest of the project team to assist in their efforts to lead, build, and manage the team of employees and subcontractors involved in the entire construction process. As a member of the Traffic Control Team, we are looking for a dedicated and observant Flagger that will be responsible for the flow of the traffic around the construction sites. This role will also be responsible for the execution of the Traffic Management Plans within and surrounding construction zones. The Payroll and Benefits Manager will assist in the timeliness, accuracy, and compliance of payroll and benefits activities for multiple Axiom Builders’ construction entities. In this leadership role, you will ensure the implementation of payroll best practices and will lead your team to provide excellent service through a culture of continuous improvement taking the payroll and benefits functionality to the next level. The successful candidate will work closely with our Construction Administration team on onboarding new employees and managing payroll for 500+ hourly and salaried employees. Our estimating team plays a key role in preconstruction by analyzing and aligning trade budgets with project requirements, and effectively communicating project estimate details to clients/owners, architects and other project stakeholders.    Responsibilities include:  - Use knowledge of construction methods to determine the most cost-effective approach; - Review designs to identify opportunities for cost savings; - Coordinate and assemble estimating input and quantities; - Prepare preliminary construction schedules, including major activities and phasing; - Conceptual estimating from preliminary drawings through final cost analysis; - Communicate with subtrades to assist in budgeting to ensure they understand their scope of work; - Review bid packages from sub-contractors and suppliers; - Assist in monitoring escalation trends; - Attend design meetings with Owner and Consultants as necessary.

As an out-of-the-box, forward-thinking leader of the safety team, the Director, Safety will work to influence a culture and philosophy around an established safety process. With the support of two regional safety managers and a safet administrator, the Director, Safety will oversee the claims management process, implement safety process and procedure, manage the safety team and enforce site safety protocol. Key deliverables include: - Direct and Influence of progressive safety programs and communicate updates to the safety management team; - Manage, supervise and direct a team of safety managers in both British Columbia and Alberta;  - Lead claims process and ensure they are being handled with urgency and accuracy; - Maintain and implement preventative safety programs to prevent incidents from escalating into WCB claims; - Establish strong working relationships with WCB, safety authorities and other key stakeholders; - Train and enforce protocol surrounding incident reporting and claims submissions; - Produce bi-weekly documents and reports on the status of WCB claims, incidents and injuries; - Represent all operating companies on all communication with the Workers' Compensation Board of BC; - Advise and offer best practices to managers in preparation for employees returning to work following injury.

Axiom’s Quality Control team in Alberta is looking to add several Quality Control/Deficiency Technicians to the Curtis Block project in the Beltline district near the Downtown area. As part of the Quality Control team, the successful candidates will be assisting supervisors with quality control repairs to meet the timelines of the finishing schedule. Responsibilities will include: - Perform caulking, silicone, paint, and drywall repairs associated with residential construction; - Install In-suite Protection; - Assist with some general labour duties, such as the cleaning and organization of materials. We are actively interviewing at the moment and would be ready to hire immediately for a 4-month term.
