The Learning and Development Specialist will deliver learning and development programs across Axiom Builders and its entities. From executive goal setting to leadership training to researching off-the-shelf courses, the L&D Specialist will be heavily involved in the long-term growth and success of our people. The successful candidate will support the Manager of Learning & Development to ensure that the delivery of our programs are aligned with the Corporate and Divisional Strategic Business Plans and objectives. Working closely with the Executive Leadership team, the L&D Specialist’s key responsibilities will be:   - Work closely with executive and senior leadership groups to share objectives, key results, training plans, schedules, and progress; - Coordinate and schedule the delivery of the learning programs including training sessions, workshops, etc; - Manage Education and Professional Development Support program and applications; - Apply and stay up to date on industry best practices related to learning, training, and talent development; - Research, evaluate and curate a database of training and development courses; - Work collaboratively with subject matter experts to create course material to be uploaded to our Human Capital Management platform; - Identify opportunities for future organization and talent growth by conducting needs assessments on a regular basis. The opportunity is for a 12-month term with discussion towards the end of the contract for an extension (depending on the project) or a full-time opportunity, dependent upon performance.

Axiom Builders is looking for an Assistant Superintendent to support the Superintendent and project team in directing and coordinating construction site activity and the safe and effective  delivery of work of subcontractors and field team. The successful candidate will work with construction leaders to plan and implement schedules, determine labour levels, material quantities and ensure the field team has all the tools and resources they need to be effective. As one of the leaders on site, the Assistant Superintendent will champion and promote safety initiatives in partnership with our CSO and safety team and ensure safety is top of mind for everyone on the team. Key responsibilities include: - Assist the Superintendent in managing work on site to ensure the compliance of construction drawings and specifications; - Support with administering contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, site instructions and change notices to ensure scopes, terms and conditions are properly executed; - Identify and advise of design deficiencies, schedule interruptions or difficulties, and other project issues, working collaboratively with Project Manager to resolve issues; - Monitor and evaluate subcontractor performance with regards to safety and scope of work; - Ensure sufficient labour resources are provided to achieve safety, schedule and quality objectives; - Maintain daily field reports, safety inspections, schedule updates and other construction documentation; - Ensure all employees, subcontractors and contractors are adhering to the company safety policies.

Axiom Builders is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to direct and own project performance, including costs, schedule, quality assurance, and project status for an upcoming project in the Core Vancouver area.  Reporting into the Senior Project Manager and working closely with the project team on site, the Assistant Project Manager will: - Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects and ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget; - Develop and manage project scope, schedule, costs and objectives, involve all relevant stakeholders and ensure technical feasibility; - Work in partnership with our project accounting team to submit all progress claims, provide forecasts, cost to complete, invoice reviews and cost management; - Manage and maintain strong relationships with vendors, third party contacts, consultants, engineers and subtrade partners by always communicating professionally and effectively; - Ensure efficiency, quality, technical competence and fair management of trades and suppliers; - Assist Project Manager in contract negotiations and management with our trades, updating the established construction schedule, preparing change order management, and preparing progress draws; - Coordinate and maintain comprehensive project documentation in a detail oriented manner. The Payroll and Benefits Manager will assist in the timeliness, accuracy, and compliance of payroll and benefits activities for multiple Axiom Builders’ construction entities. In this leadership role, you will ensure the implementation of payroll best practices and will lead your team to provide excellent service through a culture of continuous improvement taking the payroll and benefits functionality to the next level. The successful candidate will work closely with our Construction Administration team on onboarding new employees and managing payroll for 500+ hourly and salaried employees.
