Axiom Builders is looking to bring an Estimator on board to support and streamline the costing process on Axiom's growing pipeline of projects, from masterplan wood-frame communities to high-rise luxury towers and almost everything in between. Our estimating team plays a key role in preconstruction by analyzing and aligning trade budgets with project requirements, and effectively communicating project estimate details to clients/owners, architects and other project stakeholders.  - Use knowledge of construction methods to determine the most cost-effective approach; - Review designs to identify opportunities for cost savings; - Coordinate and assemble estimating input and quantities; - Prepare preliminary construction schedules, including major activities and phasing; - Conceptual estimating from preliminary drawings through final cost analysis; - Communicate with subtrades to assist in budgeting to ensure they understand their scope of work; - Review bid packages from sub-contractors and suppliers; - Assist in monitoring escalation trends; - Attend design meetings with Owner and Consultants as necessary.

Axiom Builders are currently looking for a Superintendent with concrete expertise to join the team as we get started on a two tower project in the Mount Pleasent area. This is a unique mix use project with 35,000 square feet of creative industrial space as well as 69,000 square feet of AAA strata office space with 11ft ceilings. The project will also include 200 rental units in an 8 story residential building.    The Superintendent leads, directs and coordinates the work of subcontractors and laborers. This leadership position is responsible for the day to day management of the construction site on an assigned project, executing field operations safely and in a manner consistent with Axiom Builders objectives. - Supervision and development of site team members through regular feedback, training and coaching; timely completion of performance evaluations. - Administer contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, site instructions and change notices to ensure scopes, terms and conditions are properly executed. - Identify and advise of design deficiencies, schedule interruptions or difficulties, and other project issues; works collaboratively with Project Manager to resolve issues. - Monitor and evaluate subcontractor performance with regards to safety and scope of work. - Ensure sufficient manpower is provided to achieve safety, schedule and quality objectives. - Maintain daily paperwork including field reports, safety inspections, schedule updates, etc. - Ensures and encourages all employees, subcontractors and contractors are adhering to the company safety policies. - Works under the supervision of Head Office, communicates effectively with all departments and provides reports as requested

This person will work closely with the Lead Hand and Rentals Manager to follow an inspections & repair plan for equipment currently in the field. This requires daily travel between our current jobsites, along with assisting in the yard at times also.   Key responsibilities will include: - Conduct regular inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on our fleet of rental equipment, such as: - Telehandler and Mobile Elevated Work Platforms - Diesel, gasoline, and propane-powered equipment; - Hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems; - Propane, natural gas and diesel-fired heaters; - Small 2 and 4-stroke engines and electrical tools; - Welding and fabrication as necessary; - Complete work orders and quote customer repairs accurately and promptly; - Attend road calls and emergency requests as necessary.   NOTE: A service vehicle will be provided for work-related travel purposes.

This role would be required to evaluate and monitor health and safety hazards, while developing strategies to control risks on the jobsites.
