Axiom Builders is excited to offer an internship opportunity with our IT team this summer (May to August 2024)!

This summer, the Information Technology Intern has an excellent opportunity to work with and learn from IT industry professionals. To thrive in this role, you can weave through different technologies, troubleshooting issues, and collaborate effectively with internal teams to drive innovative solutions through a customer-centric approach. You will learn how to: 

• Onboarding & offboarding employees with all required hardware and software;
• Managing the internal ticketing process and escalating tickets internally or to third party partners as required;
• Troubleshooting workstations and software issues across all departments;
• Assist and support with mobile setup and configuration;
• Assist with desk set-ups on-site and off-site; Monitors, Docking, Printing;
• Assist with offsite set-ups; including telecom, wireless, copiers, and firewalls;
• Managing hardware, software, and device inventory;
• Recommending procedure/process improvements and researching potential solutions;
• Updating and maintaining the ‘IT Manual’, and spearheading the creation of user guide documentation;
• Handling and supporting audio/visual boardroom setup-ups on-site and off-site;
• Working with end-users to foster technology adoption. 

• Currently enrolled in a certificate, diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field;
• Strong communication; confidence and ability to communicate with all levels of management;
• A strong work ethic - eager to learn, resourceful, and committed;
• Interest and willingness to work on-site;
• Some construction exposure, especially on-site, will be considered an asset.
