About the Role

Axiom Builders is looking to further upgrade our Special Project team with the addition of a Project Coordinator / Estimator, a brand-new role within the team. The successful candidate will support our Project Managers in overseeing the performance of a project, including documentation control, preconstruction, budgets/cost, project schedules, trade relationships and construction quality. 


The Project Coordinator / Estimator will have the opportunity to be mentored directly by an experienced Senior Estimator and project management team, and work on some more fast-paced, unique builds predominantly in Tenant Improvement for a wide variety of residential and commercial clients across the Lower Mainland.


Project Management

  • Communicate project details and work cohesively with teams of subcontractors, clients/owners, architects, and other project stakeholders, which includes participating actively in meetings as required; 
  • Coordinate and maintain comprehensive project documentation in a detail oriented manner;
  • Organize and stay up to date on all general and technical specifications, drawings, contracts and construction documents;
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors, third party contacts, consultants, engineers and subtrade partners.



  • Support Senior Estimator and project team in reviewing bid packages and negotiating contracts with our subtrades;
  • Coordinate and assemble estimating input and quantities with the guidance of a Senior Estimating team;
  • Prepare preliminary construction schedules, including major activities and phasing;
  • Assist with updating the established construction schedule and preparing change order management;
  • Manage the Tender process and produce Tender/Construction budgets.

Our Must Haves

  • At least one to two (1-2) years of experience in space planning and design, tenant improvement and special projects construction;
  • Previous experience in solid construction estimating, cost consulting, or quantity surveying experience;
  • Certificate, diploma or degree in Construction Management, Building Technology, or a related field;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project, Procore, and Excel;
  • Ability to communicate and represent Axiom Builders professionally with clients and trades;
  • Ability to motivate and establish effective relationships with trade partners;
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment.
