About the Role

Axiom’s Quality Control team in Alberta is looking to add several Quality Control/Deficiency Technicians to the Curtis Block project in the Beltline district near the Downtown area. As part of the Quality Control team, the successful candidates will be assisting supervisors with quality control repairs to meet the timelines of the finishing schedule. Responsibilities will include:

  • Perform caulking, silicone, paint, and drywall repairs associated with residential construction;
  • Install In-suite Protection;
  • Assist with some general labour duties, such as the cleaning and organization of materials.

We are actively interviewing at the moment and would be ready to hire immediately for a 4-month term.


What you Bring

The ideal team member is one that aligns with our culture of hard work and attention to detail. You are comfortable and knowledgeable on a construction site and can multi-task while continuing to be detail oriented and follow procedures and direction. A strong work ethic will be defined by a candidate’s strong sense of accountability and dedication to doing things right.

  • Previous experience and general knowledge/understanding of high-rise construction process and finishing sequence;
  • Ability to work with hand and power carpentry tools and other construction equipment;
  • Strong communication skills; ability to communicate with supervisors and trade partners;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Completed WHMIS training preferred; when necessary, additional training will be provided
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license and/or reliable transportation;
  • Strong sense of teamwork, punctuality and accountability;
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding duties.
