The Formwork Carpenter will be responsible for constructing frames/structure for the casting or concrete during building construction. You will be working onsite at The Theodore located at 10th and Gladstone, in the heart of Calgary’s beloved Kensington community. This condominium is a 10-storey glass clad, residential tower featuring curved accent emphasizing the gateway to Calgary’s ‘Village in the City.’

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Measure, cut, and shape wood materials using tapes, saws, and chisels;
• Perform work related to forming, scaffolding, shoring and rough carpentry;
• Anticipate problems related to quality, safety and deadlines;
• Perform hoarding, heating, and tarping concrete formwork;
• Proactive communication to the Site Foreman.

Our Must Haves

• Minimum two (2) years of carpentry or hands-on construction experience working on a variety of job sites including commercial and multi-residential;
• Must be a Journeyman Carpenter or be a registered Carpenter Apprentice;
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license and/or reliable transportation;
• Ability to work with hand and power carpentry tools and other construction equipment;
• Ability to lift up 50 lbs and perform physical demanding duties.
