Junior Quality Control Technician

As part of the Quality Control team, the Quality Control (QC) technician will be assisting supervisors with quality control repairs to meet the timelines of finishing schedule. Responsibilities will include:

• Perform caulking, silicone, and dry wall and painting repairs associated with residential construction;
• Install In-suite Protection;
• Assist with some general labour duties and sinpection of finishes, such as the cleaning and organization of materials.

You are comfortable and knowledgeable on a construction site and can multi-task while continuing to be detail oriented and follow procedures and direction. A strong work ethic will be defined by a candidate’s strong sense of accountability and dedication to doing things right.

• Previous experience and general knowledge/understanding of high-rise construction process and finishing sequence;
• Ability to work with hand and power carpentry tools and other construction equipment;
• Strong communication skills; ability to communicate with supervisors and trade partners fluently;
• Ability to perform detail-oriented tasks;
• Completed WHMIS training; when necessary, additional training will be provided;
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding duties.
